HI all - the latest job is for an Asian Airline - the questions will be written in English and translated into Thai.
Rate of pay per question is 70p
IMPORTANT - NO MENTION OF:
Politics - whatsoever - no rulers, wars or controversy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Religion - No "What is the official religion of..." or "What is a wangdoodle used by a Buddhist monk" etc.
NO STANDARDS - "What is the capital/currency/highest mountain/longest river" etc.
and finally and MOST IMPORTANT....
Every question must have a source - this must NOT be "Wikipedia" or "Google" unless it can definitely be quantified- it can be a reputable online source like Encarta, Britannica, BBC, CIA Factbook or the official government website or ideally a reputable Atlas or Encyclopaedia. If using a website insert the URL.
The questions are in our usual spreadsheet - I'll send it when I agree which countries you can do.
In short - Question + Correct Answer + Incorrect 1, 2 and 3.
Subject is Geography/Sub Category is the name of the country/the PPHGW is General Knowledge or Which if a "Which of these" type question and finally the final category is Asia
Question is suitable for ALL
These can be written knowing that they are to be used in a multiple choice quiz - but the difficulty does need to be judged as if it were going to be asked as a straight question and answer -
i.e. Which Bhutan mountain is claimed to be the highest unclimbed mountain in the world?
Answer - Gangkhar Pensum
Incorrect - Ben Nevis, Matterhorn, Aconcagua
Is still HARD - despite the fact that given these lame answers it has become EASY.
Therefore it would be better written as
Which Bhutan mountain is claimed to be the highest unclimbed mountain in the world?
Answer - Gangkhar Pensum
Incorrect - Drangme Chuu, Mo Chhu, Mongar Paro
Question to be no more than 85 characters long and answers no longer than 25
